The Opportunity

LRN, the global leader in Ethics and Compliance, is seeking an energetic and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our global Marketing team. As a BDR, you will be one of the first personalized engagements our prospects experience after they signal intent through our marketing campaigns and activations. Understanding prospects’ needs, communicating how we can address them with our products, and securing next steps with our sales teams will be critical for your success. The candidate will be responsible for supporting our North American sales territories and pipeline creation.

What you’ll have the opportunity to do:

  • Lead Conversion: Manage and convert inbound marketing leads into qualified appointments for our North America-based sales teams by promptly responding to inquiries and intent signals and initiating meaningful conversations.
  • Prospect Engagement: Act as the first point of contact for inbound leads, understanding their business requirements, and effectively communicating the values of LRN’s ethics and compliance solutions.
  • Lead Qualification: Conduct thorough assessments of inbound leads to determine their fit for our offerings, ensuring alignment with predefined qualification criteria.
  • Collaboration with Marketing and Sales: Work closely with Marketing and Sales colleagues to provide feedback on lead quality, contribute insights for marketing campaign optimization, and ensure seamless lead handover to the North America sales teams.
  • Leverage Technology and Tools: Execute on a multi-channel outreach strategy for securing appointments using tools for email, phone, and social media; Update and maintain accurate records in Salesforce and HubSpot, ensuring a clear and organized view of inbound lead pipeline.
  • Performance Metrics: Exceed established KPIs, including lead conversion rates, meetings booked, pipeline created.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience as a B2B sales, business development, or customer service representative roles
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation communications skills to engage C-level buyers
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding key performance indicators in previous roles
  • Proficient use of Salesforce.com, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, and other similar sales prospecting and marketing tools
  • Strong partnership skills with emphasis on collaboration, proactive, flexible, can-do attitude
